I Feel Rested

posted in: Affirmations | 0

I wake up happy and raring to go. I feel rested.

I go to bed at the same time each night. Sticking to a regular schedule helps me to sleep well. I follow my routines as much as possible even on weekends and holidays. I wake up naturally without needing an alarm clock.

I manage stress. I clear my mind before going to bed. I write down any nagging thoughts, so I can put them aside until morning. I take a warm bath and listen to soft music. If I wake up during the night, I do something soothing like meditating or knitting.

I limit caffeine and alcohol. I have my last cup of coffee in the early afternoon.

I take time throughout my day for rest, even if just for 15 minutes. I write in my journal, enjoy an afternoon herb tea, read a little, or meditate.

I take days off from working out. I avoid excessive exercise that would interfere with my sleep. I stay active without exceeding my limits.

I know my body and take regular naps to help me feel well-rested.

Today, I make rest a top priority. I give my body and mind the rest they need to stay in shape.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. How many hours of sleep do I need to feel rested?
  2. How do I take time for rest throughout the day?
  3. What is one thing I can add to my routine to help me feel well-rested?
