My days are busy. They are filled with tasks to start, jobs to complete, and people to interact with. Yet sometime during each day, I find the time to rest and revitalize.
Enjoying short periods of rest enable me to live a well-rounded life. I work hard and play hard. But then, I relax. Even in the busiest of circumstances, I find time to take a break.
Life can be hectic. When it is, I find an out-of-the-way place to sit and quiet my mind.
I have many tools available to me for doing this.
I can use visualization go to visit a relaxing place. I see myself on a soft, sandy beach or in a lush, verdant forest and take it in with all my senses. After just a few moments, I feel better able to take on the rest of the day.
When it’s cold out, I can make myself a warm drink and enjoy a small treat. In warm weather, I can pour a cool, refreshing drink and sit outside in the sunshine.
If I’m especially tired, I can take a brief nap to refresh.
Other times, I can watch funny animal videos that make me laugh.
Today, I allow myself time to rest in order to regain my vitality. This helps me feel calmer and more productive.
